§ 2-203. Composition of commission; terms; compensation; prohibition against holding other city office.

The commission shall consist of five commissioner members appointed by the mayor, subject to confirmation by the city council. The commissioners shall serve from the date of their appointment until their successors are appointed and qualified, unless sooner removed by the city council. The terms of the commissioners shall be a period of three years, staggered such that the term of two commissioners shall expire every three years, the three-year term of two different commissioners shall expire in the next following year, and the three-year term of the remaining commissioner shall expire in the next following year. All members shall serve without pay and shall hold no other municipal office.
