§ 8-111. Animal trapping.

  • (a)

    The use of cyanide pellet traps or any other kind of trap containing a substance noxious to man is prohibited within the city limits, unless deemed necessary by the state department of health for the control of communicable diseases.

    (b)

    Any resident of the city may request an animal trap from the animal control officer for the purpose of catching dogs, cats, skunks, possums, or armadillos. Any person requesting an animal trap will sign a paper making him responsible for the trap being issued while in his possession. The animal control officer will pick up all issued traps on Fridays. No traps will be issued on Saturdays or Sundays.
